Free lectures

In accordance with the Ibero-American tradition, and for the purpose of stimulating young researchers in labour law and social protection, Congress foresees a cycle of "free lectures" which will take place in parallel with normal sessions (on Tuesday october, 29th).

These free lectures are open to the interventions of doctoral students as well as of the student of Master II. The best contributions will be awarded a prize offered by our partners, and the opportunity to publish their contribution.

Call for contributions

Candidates must submit a summary of their contributions before September 30, 2019, according to the free Conference rules downloadable below.

The written contributions shall then be forwarded before 15 October 2019, in order to allow for the organization of the sessions.

Rules for free conferences

The Scientific Committee of the Congress, entrusted to the task to select the best contributions to a group of experts. The Scientific Committee of the Congress is responsible for selecting the various proposals through an anonymous process in which they only received the title and the summary of each Conference. With this information, each component should note each work, anonymously and individually, according to two criteria: the innovation of the work and the rigor of the presentation.

What forms for contributions?

  1. All summaries must contain a maximum of 300 words and must provide sufficient detail to assess their contribution to the Congress themes.
  2. Each summary must be classified under a specific topic in the list of topics. The author or authors can choose the topic closest to their study. However, the Scientific Committee may decide to classify the study on another of the related topics if the Committee deems it more appropriate and adheres more to the Congress program.
  3. An author or authors may submit several summaries in the same category or in a different category. The names of the authors must be placed after the title, starting with the principal author, who will also be responsible for the presentation of the work. The name of the main author must be written in bold.
  4. The file must be in PDF format and emailed to congresolaboral@uvsq.fr.
  5. It must be developed with the following specifications:
    • 10-point Arial font, with paragraph with justified alignment, single space, 3.5 cm margins, 2.5 cm bottom, right and left. 3 cm
    • Title in bold, such as subtitles and names of sections (introduction, method, results, discussion and conclusions).

A prize for free lectures

In order to encourage the free speakers to propose interventions, several companies which are distinguished by a social policy respectful of human rights and the rules of the ILO, will propose a prize.
